ZIM vs SA: Mulder breaks record for highest individual score for South Africa in Tests
All-rounder Wiaan Mulder registered the highest individual score by a South African batter in Test match cricket during the second Test match against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo on Sunday.
Mulder went past Hashim Amla’s 311 with a boundary off pacer Blessing Muzarabani. Earlier, he had become only the second South African to notch up a triple century in Test cricket, and the second-fastest ever to the landmark overall.
He reached his triple ton off 297 balls, behind Virender Sehwag’s 278-ball triple hundred, which came against South Africa in Chennai in 2008.
