The International Atomic Energy Agency said on Sunday (June 22, 2025) that there has been “no increase in off-site radiation levels” after U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites.
The UN nuclear watchdog sent the message via the social platform X on Sunday.

“The IAEA can confirm that no increase in off-site radiation levels has been reported as of this time,” it said. The “IAEA will provide further assessments on situation in Iran as more information becomes available.”
President Donald Trump earlier said U.S. air strikes had “completely and totally obliterated” Iran’s main nuclear enrichment facilities, and warned of more attacks to come if Tehran does not seek peace.
In a televised address to the nation from the White House after the United States joined Israel’s air campaign against Tehran, Mr. Trump called the U.S. attacks a “spectacular military success.”
“Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated. Iran the bully of the Middle East must now make peace,” said Mr. Trump.
“If they do not, future attacks will be far greater, and a lot easier,” added Mr. Trump, who was flanked by Vice President J.D. Vance, Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio for his address on Saturday evening for U.S. audiences.
