‘Thalaivan Thalaivii,’ starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen, gets a release date

We had previously reported that actors Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen are starring in director Pandiraaj’s next, titled Thalaivan Thalaivii. On Sunday (June 29), the makers announced that the film will be released in theatres on July 25.

The makers unveiled a special teaser to announce the release date. The teaser introduces us to the many colourful characters in the film.

Vijay and Nithya star as Aagasaveeran and Perarasi, while the cast also includes Yogi Babu (who plays Chithirai), Chemban Vinod Jose (Arasangam), Saravanan (Sembaiya), RK Suresh (Porselvan), Kaali Venkat (Amarasigamani), Aruldoss (Pariventhan), Roshni Haripriyan (Ragavarthini), Muthu Kumar (Sangathalaivan), Deepa (Pottu), and Sendrayan (Soman) among others.

With music scored by Santhosh Narayanan, the film has cinematography by M Sukumar and editing by Pradeep E Ragav. Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan produce the film under their Sathya Jyothi Films banner.

Billed as a ‘rugged love story,’ Thalaivan Thalaivii marks a reunion between Vijay and Nithya after the Malayalam film 19(1)(a).
