South Korea kicked off its EAFF E-1 Football Championship 2025 campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over China at the Yongin Mireu Stadium in Yongin on Monday.
The Taegeuk Warriors displayed a dominant performance, securing all three points with goals spread across both halves. South Korea established its superiority early in the match, with Lee Dong-gyeong opening the scoring in the eighth minute. Not long after, Joo Min-kyu doubled its lead before the break, putting China under immense pressure.
The second half saw no let-up from the hosts, as Kim Ju-sung netted another goal, sealing a comfortable 3-0 win. This comprehensive victory marks an impressive start for South Korea in its pursuit of the EAFF E-1 Championship title.
South Korea and China have been placed in Group A alongside Japan and Hong Kong.
