Revoor trains his guns on Kalaburagi South MLA
The allegations and counter-allegations between Kalaburagi South MLA Allamprabhu Patil and former MLA Dattatreya Patil Revoor further intensified in connection with the arrest of former Congress worker Lingaraj Kanni in a drug case by Maharashtra police last month.
“Mr. Kanni was arrested in the last week of June, it seems Mr. Patil was in slumber all these days, and came before the media only after it was telecasted in the media,” Mr. Revoor quipped.
Continuing his tirade against Mr. Allamprabhu Patil, Mr. Revoor addressing presspersons here on Friday said, “People of the Constituency (Kalaburagi South) had placed their faith in him and elected giving an opportunity to serve people, but unfortunately Mr. Patil kept himself busy in leveling baseless allegations and resorting to personal attacks on me rather than engaging in development activities, I was told that Mr. Patil suffers from hearing loss, but he also lost the link between his brain and tongue,” Mr. Revoor countered.
Accusing Mr. Patil’s son of acting like a proxy legislator, Mr. Revoor claimed that his son has been holding meetings with the officials at Aiwan-e-Shahi guest house and was also actively involved in illegal sand mining; People of the Constituency are confused whether they have elected Mr. Patil or his son to the Assembly, Mr. Revoor expressed.
He alleged that Mr. Patil had misused his powers in the appointment of his brother-in-law as assistant executive engineer in the Public Works Department and favored his close aides in getting tenders awarded.
Mr. Revoor demanded the State government write to the Maharashtra government urging it to transfer the drug case to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) at the earliest.
