The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, has announced the launch of the ARRA Scholarship for students enrolled in its BA LLB (Hons) programme, starting from the academic year 2025–26. The initiative is supported by the Rosy Blue Foundation, which recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the University.

The ARRA (Arunkumar & Ramniklal Mehta) Scholarship will be awarded annually to two students. It will fully cover their tuition fees, accommodation, and maintenance expenses throughout their course of study.

Selection for the scholarship will focus on academic achievement, personal character, and dedication to studies. Although financial need may be considered, it will not be the primary criterion. The process will be conducted without regard to gender, caste, race, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, religion, or social background. In line with its Inclusion and Expansion Plan 2021–25, NLSIU aims to admit 310 students into the BA LLB (Hons) programme this year.

Russell Mehta, Director of the Rosy Blue Foundation and Chairperson of the ARRA Scholarship, said the scholarship represents a commitment to removing financial barriers for deserving students. He noted that the initiative includes not just financial assistance, but also mentorship and community support, honouring the legacy of Ramniklalbhai and Arunkumarbhai Mehta.

NLSIU Registrar Prof. N.S. Nigam stated that the support from the Rosy Blue Foundation would strengthen the university’s efforts to provide inclusive education. He added that the scholarship would help motivate students to achieve both academic and professional milestones.
