‘Narayana master’ lauded by his student Lokesh

Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Ponguru Narayana and A.P. Waqf Board chairman Abdul Aziz inspecting the Swarnala Cheruvu ahead of the forthcoming ‘Rottela Panduga’ at Barashaheed Dargah in Nellore on Sunday.
Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development P. Narayana has been taking serious efforts to revive his 150-year-old alma mater V.R. High School, where he not only studied but also worked as a teacher.
The school remained closed during the YSRCP regime but was reopened after renovation recently for the current academic year. As the school registered a record number of admissions, Minister for Education Nara Lokesh, who studied under the guidance of “Narayana Master” in the past, lauded his mentor’s efforts to breathe new life into the once-dilapidated school.
In his post on ‘X’, Mr. Lokesh showed the picture of the ‘admissions closed’ board hanging in front of the school, after the management closed admissions for the current academic year and hailed his former teacher for the accomplishment.
Barashaheed Dargah
The Minister reviewed arrangements at the Barashaheed Dargah near Swarnala Cheruvu, where the annual Rottela Panduga will be observed in a grand manner. After reviewing the arrangements at the spot along with A.P. Waqf Board chairman Abdul Aziz, he said the 415-year-old Dargah, standing tall as a symbol of communal harmony, would be given a facelift and facilities developed to accommodate more number of devotees this year. He instructed the officials to complete all arrangements by June 30.
