Myles Lewis-Skelly signs new long-term contract at Arsenal

Myles Lewis-Skelly has signed a new long-term contract with the Arsenal on Thursday that will extend his stay at the Premier League club.
The 18-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2024/25, becoming the latest graduate from the north London club’s Hale End academy to cement his position in Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad.
Lewis-Skelly joined Gunners as an eight-year-old and went on to play an instrumental role in each of the age groups as he moved through the years. He signed his first professional contract on October 5, 2023.
He made his senior debut for the club on 22 September 2024 in a 2–2 draw away at Manchester City, coming on for Jurrien Timber in second-half injury time. He went on to become the first-choice left-back for Arteta as Arsenal finished the season as Premier league runners-up and lost in the semifinal of UEFA Champions League to eventual winners PSG.
Lewis-Skelly earned his first call-up to the England senior squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualification matches against Albania and Latvia. He started his first game for England as a left-back against Albania on March 21 and opened the scoring in the 20th minute and was subsequently named Man of the Match.
At just 18 years and 176 days old, he etched his name in history by becoming the youngest England player to score on his senior debut, surpassing Marcus Rashford’s previous record.
