Mohun Bagan begins CFL 2025-26 campaign with loss against Police AC

Mohun Bagan Super Giant began its Calcutta Football League 2025-26 campaign with a slender 0-1 loss against Police AC on Monday at the Naihati Stadium.

The defending Indian Super League double champion went behind right before the half-time break in the first half’s stoppage time at the 45+3rd minute.

Police AC’s Amil Naim scored the only goal in the match which turned out to be the winner.

The Mariners will next face Railway FC on July 7, followed by two other matches before facing arch-rival East Bengal on July 19.
