Man allegedly set ablaze by neighbour dies

A person from Vaduthala, Christopher, 54, who was allegedly set ablaze by his neighbour on Friday succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital in the city on Sunday evening.

His wife Mary, 50, had suffered burn injuries after they were allegedly set ablaze by their neighbour Williams Correya, 52.

Williams, who had a long-standing dispute with the couple, was later found dead. The victims were riding back home on a scooter when Williams allegedly hurled petrol on them and set them ablaze. (Suicide Prevention Helpline: Disha – 1056, 0471-2552056)
