Liverpool team news — Frimpong, the replacement to Trent Alexander-Arnold, ready for Premier League

Trent Alexander-Arnold left Liverpool, having won every possible competition during his stint, and leaving a gigantic gap to fill at the right-back position.
But the Reds’ new signing Jeremie Frimpong has no doubt can replace the England international in the Premier League champions’ defence.
Frimpong arrived at Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen as Arne Slot’s first signing since winning the Premier League.
“Liverpool. It’s a big club, so it’s big shoes regardless,” Frimpong told Sky Sports, when asked if he would compete with Conor Bradley to succeed Alexander-Arnold as Liverpool’s first choice for right back.
“It’s a winning team … they win trophies for a reason. If you play for a team like Liverpool you have to fill in the shoes and perform.
“I’ve always believed in myself. I’m a winner. That’s what I’m going to bring to the team.”
How much did Jeremie Frimpong cost?
Frimpong cost Liverpool around USD 40 million. The club activated his €35million (£29.6m; $40m) release clause, wih the fee set to be paid in three instalments over three years.
