Karnataka rains: Holiday declared for schools in Malnad region

Hassan Deputy Commissioner K.S. Latha Kumari has declared a holiday for schools and anganwadi centres in Alur, Arakalgud and Sakleshpur taluks on June 25 in view of heavy rains in Malnad region of Karnataka.
The announcement applies to primary schools, high schools and anganwadi centres. The DC has instructed the schools to compensate for the loss of school days by holding special classes on weekends.
In Shivamogga district, Hosanagar tahsildar declared a holiday on June 25 for anganwadi centres, schools and pre-university colleges.
In Chikkamagaluru district, Deputy Commissioner C.N. Meena Nagaraj declared a holiday on June 25 for anganwadi centres in Mudigere, Kalasa, Sringeri, Koppa and N.R. Pura taluks.
