IPL winner Jitesh Sharma moves to Baroda from Vidarbha – Reports

Wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma, who was part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Indian Premier League 2025, will play for Baroda during the upcoming domestic season, according to news reports.

The 31-year-old was a regular for Vidarbha’s white-ball teams but played just 18 first-class games. His exploits in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for the side helped Jitesh break into the IPL.

He was part of Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings before being roped in by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for a whopping sum of Rs. 11 crore during the mega auction in 2024. He was also RCB’s vice-captain during the title campaign earlier this year.

Jitesh scored 265 runs in 11 innings during the season at a strike rate of over 176. His season’s highlight was the unbeaten 85 against Lucknow Super Giants, that helped RCB finish in the top-two in the Points Table.

Jitesh has also played nine T20Is for India where he has scored 100 runs at a strike rate of 147.
