A number of advocates and court staff participated in a rally held under the banner ‘Mediation for Nation’ organised by the Prakasam District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), from the Court centre to the CVN Reading Room in Ongole on Wednesday.

Addressing the gathering, DLSA Secretary and Senior Civil Judge Sheikh Ibrahim Sharif said that mediation is a simple and fast process, and resolving issues through this method provides satisfactory outcome for both parties.

The judge further said that court fees paid in courts can be recovered by settling cases through mediation.

Bar Association president Boddu Bhaskara Rao, who also participated in the programme, said that the advocates would fully cooperate in resolving issues through mediation.

Mediation-trained advocates Bathina Subba Rao, Sirigiri Sarala and Deva Kumari; Additional Government advocate Bodapati Venkata Sivaramakrishna Prasad, Chief Legal Aid Defence Counsel Gollakaram Ravi Shankar, and Deputy Legal Aid Defense Counsel P. Veera Raghavulu participated in the programme.
