CFL — East Bengal loses 0-1 to Pathachakra in Calcutta Football League


East Bengal suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat in their Calcutta Football League match against Pathachakra FC in Barrackpore on Tuesday.

Pathachakra’s David Motla netted the winner in the 87th minute of the contest.The club is currently top of the Premier Division standings after winning all of its first four fixtures.

Meanwhile, the Red and Gold Brigade is currently eighth after accumulating five points from four matches. In its last match, EBFC mounted a second half comeback to draw 2-2 with Calcutta Customs.

East Bengal will lock horns with arch-rival Mohun Bagan on July 19.

In the other CFL matches of the day, George Telegrapher won 3-0 against Kalighat SL, while Suruchi Sangha defeated BBS Sporting 2-1.
