Appear personally in contempt case, HC tells HCA secretary, CEO
Telangana High Court directed Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) secretary R. Devraj and Chief Executive Officer Suneel Bose Kante to personally appear before it at 10.30 a.m. on Friday in a contempt of court case.
Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka of the HC, admitting the contempt of court case filed by M/s Ganjam Decor Services stating that HCA had wilfully disobeyed orders passed by the HC over payment of ₹18.88 lakh, issued Form-I notices to both the office bearers of the HCA. The judge said their personal appearance can be dispensed with if the order passed by the HC to release the amount to the petitioner was complied with.
The petitioner filed the contempt of court case stating that on October 18, 2024, the HC had ordered the HCA to release ₹18.88 lakh to it for the works executed. Pointing out that the order was not complied with by the HCA till date, the petitioner moved court to initiate contempt of court proceedings against it.
