Al Hilal knocks Manchester City out of FIFA Club World Cup with a 4-3 win in round of 16

Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal stunned seven-time Premier League champion Manchester City, knocking it out with a 4-3 win in the round of 16 at the FIFA Club World Cup in Orlando, USA, on Monday.

Marcos Leonardo scored the winner in extra-time after the contest looked poised at 3-3, with City trying a comeback through Phil Foden’s strike. However, Simone Inzaghi, who took charge of Al Hilal this summer, marshalled his men to stay alert as they sailed into the final eight of the tournament.

The Saudi Pro League side will face Brazilian team, Fluminense, which caused an upset earlier in the day, eliminating UEFA Champions League runner-up, Inter Milan.
