Everton captain Seamus Coleman signed a one-year contract extension, the Premier League club announced on Friday.

The 36-year-old Ireland international signed the deal just three days before his previous contract expired. Despite suffering a thigh injury during Everton’s final game at Goodison Park last month, the defender is expected to be fit in time for next season.
