Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao along with Minister for Transport and Backward Classes Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar, Minister for Roads & Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Minister for Health Damodar Rajanarsimha visited the oilpalm plantations at Samudrala village of Koheda mandal in Siddipet district and reviewed work on the oilpalm factory being set up at Narmetta in Nangunoor mandal on Friday.

The Ministers interacted with oilpalm farmers and informed them that the oilpalm factory coming up at Narmetta would be completed by August first week-end. They went round the oilpalm plantation of Komura Reddy and examined the growth of the plantation crop.

While visiting the oilpalm factory work at Narmetta, Mr. Nageswara Rao instructed the authorities to complete all works pertaining to the factory along with the mini power plant being set up there by the end of August first week. The factory getting available would encourage more and more farmers to take up the oilpalm plantation/cultivation.

The Minister wanted the authorities to get the oilpalm processing plants being set up by the Oilfed ready at the earliest. Further, he told the officials to call for tenders immediately for setting up/construction of the refinery and packing unit.
