Iran Strikes Israel After Trump’s Ceasefire Claim; 3 Killed, Several Injured | World News

Hours after US President Donald Trump claimed that Israel and Iran had agreed to a ceasefire, an Iranian ballistic missile struck an apartment complex in Beersheba on Tuesday, killing three people and injuring several others.

According to the IANS, Iran reportedly launched eight missiles targeting central and southern Israel.

The building in Beersheba was reduced to rubble following the direct impact.

As per IANS reports, the emergency responders from Magen David Adom confirmed three deaths and several others injured after a ballistic missile hit the building. The wounded were transported to nearby hospitals and care centres for treatment, though no official tally of the injured has been released.

Shortly after the strike, additional missile sirens sounded across central Israel and parts of the south, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.

The latest round of strikes came shortly after Iran declared a unilateral halt to military operations against Israel, effective 4 a.m. local time.

Earlier, President Trump in a post on Truth Social announced that both Iran and Israel had agreed to a “complete and total ceasefire”.

“CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED!” he wrote.
