Four persons were arrested with 98 kg of wild boar meat, including skin, from Bavuparamba under the jurisdiction of the Taliparamba special duty forest section in Kannur, Kerala, on Friday morning.

Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Taliparamba range officer Sanoop Krishnan raided the location and arrested K. Rajesh (53), Suresh P.P(44), T.K. Sahadevan (49) and T.V. Muneer (48). Along with the meat, weapons and other tools used for processing the meat were also seized.

A case has been registered. The accused have been produced before the Second Additional Judicial First-Class Magisrate Court in Kannur. They have been remanded in 14 days of judicial custody at the Kannur Sub Jail.
