Telangana Weather: Heavy rainfall forecast with orange alert in five districts, yellow in seven

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for five districts and a yellow alert for seven others in Telangana, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall across large parts of the State on Tuesday (July 8, 2025).
According to the latest weather bulletin from the IMD, districts under the orange alert (heavy to very heavy rainfall) are Adilabad; Kumaram Bheem Asifabad; Mancherial; Nirmal and Nizamabad. A yellow alert, indicating heavy rainfall, was issued for Jagtial; Rajanna Sircilla; Karimnagar; Peddapalli; Jayashankar Bhupalpally; Medak, and Kamareddy districts.
In addition, thunderstorm activity with lightning and gusty winds is expected to impact a wider belt of Telangana, including Mulugu; Bhadradri Kothagudem; Khammam; Nalgonda; Suryapet; Mahabubabad; Warangal; Hanumakonda; Jangaon; Siddipet; Yadadri Bhongir; Rangareddy; Hyderabad; Medchal Malkajgiri; Vikarabad; Sangareddy; Mahabubnagar; Nagarkurnool; Wanaparthy; Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal districts.

For Hyderabad and surrounding areas, the forecast indicates generally cloudy skies over the next 24 hours. “Light rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds are likely in parts of the city. Hazy conditions may prevail during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 32°C and 23°C respectively,” the bulletin said.
