WAFCON 2024: When, where to watch Women’s African Cup of Nations around the world?
The Women’s African Cup of Nations 2025 began with host Morocco held to a 2-2 draw by Zambia at the Rabat Olympic Stadium on Saturday.
Though it looked like the game was headed to a major upset, with Zambia leading 2-1, Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak struck late to end the match all square.
This is the second consecutive edition of the WAFCON that is being played in Morocco, with the hosts reaching the final in the previous edition.
Twelve teams have been divided into three groups of four teams each. The top two from each group and the two best third-ranked sides will make it to the knockouts.
The tournament that started on July 5 will continue for three weeks, with the final scheduled on July 26 at the Rabat Olympic Stadium.
