Wimbledon 2025, Day 5 Highlights: Sabalenka digs deep to knock out Raducanu; Alcaraz makes it through in four sets; Osaka and Keys knocked out

Carlos Alcaraz overcame dropping the second set to beat German Jan-Lennard Struff on the fifth day of The Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, London. The Spaniard secured his place in the next round with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 win. Briton Cameron Norrie defeated Mattia Bellucci 7-6(5), 6-4, 6-3. Taylor Fritz also secured a place in the next round courtesy of a 6-4, 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-1 win against Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
In the women’s singles, Aryna Sabalenka overcame an impressive performance from Emma Raducanu in front of her home crowd to win 7-6. There were also shock defeats for Naomi Osaka, who lost 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, and Madison Keys, who fell 6-3, 6-3 to German Laura Siegemund.
Yuki Bhambri, the sole Indian to take to the court on Day 5, won 6-3, 1-6, 7-6(6) alongside Xinyu Jiang in the mixed doubles against Christian Harrison and Nicole Melichar-Martinez.
