Devanahalli farmers to hold day-long fast on July 2 at Channarayapatna

Farmers from 13 villages of Devanahalli taluk, whose lands are to be acquired for the Aerospace Park, are set to hold a day-long fast on Wednesday (July 2, 2025) to put pressure on the government on the day the State Cabinet is meeting.
The farmers, who have been protesting for the last 1,884 days demanding shelving of land acquisition process, are staging the fast in front of Nadakacheri at Channarayapatna of Devanahalli taluk with the slogan “Our lives are in this land, the future of the children of this soil is in your (government’s) hands.”
They have also urged the Cabinet to take up their issue as a special agenda. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has also invited representatives of these leaders for discussion on July 4.
