FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Palmeiras edges past Botafogo to secure quarterfinal berth
Palmeiras became the first side to book a spot in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 quarterfinals after beating rival Botafogo in their round of 16 match at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Saturday.
After the match ended 0-0 in regulation time, Brazilian Paulinho found the bottom left corner with a clean strike in the 100th minute to take the lead.
Palmeiras will face the winner of the match between Benfica and Chelsea in the quarterfinal stage.
