Congress MLC tells Harish to stop misleading youth

Congress MLC Balmuri Venkat accused BRS MLA T. Harish Rao of playing “petty politics” on unemployment, unable to digest the recruitments being taken up by the Congress government.
In response to Mr. Rao’s claims with a group of youngsters on Saturday, he said the BRS government claimed to have filled 1.6 lakh jobs but no verifiable data was ever released to support the figure.
“Mr. Harish Rao should come forward for a public debate and he would show the data of 58,000 jobs filled” he said.
At a press conference here, he played the old video clips and documents of BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao who promised “a job for every household” during his election campaigns. “Unemployed youth were driven to suicide. Yet no one from their party responded with responsibility,” he alleged.
Chanagani Dayakar, TPCC general secretary, echoed similar sentiments, calling Mr. Harish Rao’s attempts to provoke unemployed youth “opportunistic.”
He also slammed BRS for failing to provide fee reimbursement, mishandling DSC notifications, and turning a blind eye to paper leak scandals, all of which pushed Telangana’s unemployed into despair.
He also argued that under Congress, 1,56,000 students secured government school admissions due to the recruitment of teachers. “If BRS continues to mislead and incite the unemployed for votes, they will face strong resistance from the youth of Telangana,” he said.
