‘3BHK’ trailer: Siddharth, Sarath Kumar, Devayani and Meetha promise a moving tale of a family’s dream to own a home

A middle-class family faces harsh realities in pursuing their dreams of owning a house in the trailer of the upcoming Tamil family drama, 3BHK, starring Siddharth, Sarath Kumar, Devayani and Meetha Raghunath, unveiled by the makers on Thursday (June 26). Directed by Sri Ganesh, the film is set to release in theatres on July 4.

The trailer begins with a shot of Siddharth’s character, Prabhu, as a high-school student, walking back to his house to find it flooded with rainwater. The trailer then traverses through time as each member of the family goes through overwhelming troubles in their personal and professional lives, all while holding onto a dream shared by many middle-class households: owning a house.

Also starring Yogi Babu, 3BHK features Chaithra J Achar of Sapta Saagaradaache Ello – Side B fame as Siddharth’s character’s love interest.

Notably, Sri Ganesh’s film marks a reunion between Sarath Kumar and Devayani; the two had starred in several hit films throughout the 90s and early 2000s, like Surya Vamsam (1997), Oruvan (1999), Paattaali (1999), Thenkasi Pattanam (2002) and Samasthanam (2002).

3BHK has music scored by veteran singer Bombay Jayashri’s son, Amrit Ramnath. Ganesh Siva is in charge of editing, and Dinesh Krishnan B and Jithin Stanislaus are the film’s cinematographers. The film is produced by Arun Viswa under his Shanthi Talkies banner.
