27-year-old man convicted for sexually assaulting minor in Nandyal

A 27-year-old man on Friday was convicted and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment and fined ₹50,000 for sexually assaulting a minor girl in Nandyal district.

The convict identified as Mala Gudise Rudresh is a resident of Maddileti Tammadapalle village in Banaganapalle mandal. On October 20, 2020, Rudresh had sexually assaulted the minor when she was playing near a place of work in the village. Based on the complaint registered by the victim’s mother, the police investigated the case and a charge-sheet was filed in the court with statements from 24 witnesses.
